TripRank extracts sprint intervals from the recorded trace after the drive: standstill to 100, on to 200, and the 400m marker, each with its full speed curve. There is no arming, no countdown, and no phone-handling — runs are found in the data, not staged for the app.
Times accumulate into per-vehicle personal records, so progress across attempts, setups, and seasons is a curve of its own. Sprint accuracy follows sample rate more than chip quality, which is why the recorder samples the way it does. Closed course where the venue demands it; the record keeps itself either way.
